Castra Leuca Trio
The Castra Leuca Trio was founded in 2018. The group uses melodies from a Portuguese songbook that they transform to create pieces that, due to the wealth of content, transcend purely traditional music and rather belong in the World Music category. Castra Leuca Trio is Nicolas Ramirez Celis on violin,Joaquim Pires on guitar and Antonio Pedro Dias on percussion
The Castra Leuca Trio has performed at festivals in Portugal, Spain and France. In 2019 they released their first CD Primeiro Andamento , which received excellent reviews from the specialized press and was regularly heard on the radio in Portugal, Spain, the Czech Republic, United States, Australia, Brazil and Colombia.
