Queen's College, London - Orchestra and choir
Queen's is a leading independent day school for girls aged 11 to 18 in central London. Queen's College, which was granted a Royal Charter by Queen Victoria in 1853, has been at the forefront of education for 175 years and was the first British educational institution to award academic qualifications to women. They are now one of the highest performing, diverse and forward-looking girls' schools in London. Thanks to their growing reputation both academically and in the arts, they are now embarking on their fourth international music tour, this year to the Netherlands and Belgium!
Queen's College, London Orchestra and Choir have gone from strength to strength over the past decade. Today the department has more than 300 students who take singing or instrumental lessons every week. The choir and orchestra have performed at several notable venues in London, including Regents Hall.
The program consists of a variety of musical styles, from classical works, pop music and film scores to musical soundtracks from West End shows.
