Welcome to an evening filled with magical sounds of top artists playing various Indian percussion and melody instruments. Mridangam, Thavil, Ghatam, Morsingh, Tabla, Sarod, Dhol and more instruments will resonate their virtuoso rhythms in the Dominicus Church.
Ustad Faiyaz Khan was one of India's greatest masters, who toured the world from the 1950s onwards. He was a much loved master and performed with all the legends of Indian classical music, such as Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and many others. This concert is dedicated to his joyful performances, which were always characterized by the depth of sound quality and a unique expression of the vast repertoire of Indian rhythms. Above all, it is a tribute to the wonderful human being that he was.
