It has been almost ten years since rap duo The Opposites broke up; four years later, in 2018, Willem released his first solo album 'Man in Nood'. This album refers to a difficult period when the rapper had to deal with a personal crisis. Despite all the setbacks, he made a new artistic start and scored several hits solo; the Opposites made a major comeback in 2019, and Willem debuted his theatre show 'Spuug van God'.
