From small-scale to a mature brewery

From a small-scale initiative with a dubbel and tripel in the Belgian tradition, Brouwerij 't IJ grew into a modern brewery with a wide range of flavours. Not only in Amsterdam, but also outside the city limits, people are now familiar with these beers. For years, crowd favourites have been the fruity tripel, Zatte, fresh white beer, IJwit, and floral IPA. In these as well as in all other beers from 't IJ you can always taste a touch of Amsterdam's idiosyncrasy.

The Tasting Rooms

In tasting room De Molen in Amsterdam you can taste all the beers right next to the brewery. In this former bathhouse a pleasant mix of Amsterdammers and visitors from outside forms every day. Opening hours tasting room on the Funekade: Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 - 22:00 also on all holidays. If you have any questions or would like a tour, that is possible, send an e-mail . Please note: tasting room de Molen is not wheelchair accessible.

Tasting room 't Blauwe Theehuis can be found in the middle of Amsterdam's Vondelpark, a place where you can taste all the brewery's beers. All the beer from Brouwerij 't IJ is organic. The opening hours of 't Blauwe Theehuis: Sunday to Wednesday 10:00-22:00 and Thursday to Saturday 10:00-23:00.

Café Struis is an extension of the tasting room De Molen. This is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, company party or family party. If your group does not exceed 40 guests, then you have come to the right place. Café Struis at Zeeburgerstraat 1 is open from Sunday to Thursday from 12:00 to 22:00 and on Friday and Saturday from 12:00 to 00:00.
