Casa Peru
Authentic Peruvian food on the Amsterdam canals? That's why you visit Casa Peru on the corner of Leidsegracht and Prinsengracht. The restaurant has a large waterfront terrace and serves typical Peruvian dishes, such as ceviche de pescado (raw fish), estofado de carne con papas (beef stewed in red wine) and aguadito (seafood and fish soup). To top it off, finish the night with hot chocolate cake and Peruvian lemon cake.
Welcome to Lili Torres' mother's Peruvian kitchen
When Lili started Casa Peru in the heart of Amsterdam in 1994, she only had her dear mother's recipes to work off of. At home in Peru, she liked to stir the pans as a little girl. Under the strict supervision of her mother, that is. Because preparing authentic Peruvian dishes is a delicate craft. It is a cuisine with a rich history. You can taste the influences from Southern Europe, Africa and the Far East.
