The exhibition will be at IHLIA LGBTI Heritage from July 12 Protest2Pride, which focuses on the Pink Saturday protests of the 80s and 90s through the lens of photographer Marian Bakker. Bakker zoomed in on lesbian subcultures, but her photos also show who else fought for LGBTQ+ rights during this period. They paint a picture of the '80s and '90s, how these people dressed, their perspectives, their strategies and how they paved the way for the Pride celebrations we know today. We invite you to step into the world of these photos and reflect on how they relate to current discussions around activism and Pride.
