02025 celebrates 20 years clean energy on Amsterdam's 749th birthday

Where does our city stand on the road to saving half of its energy and generating the rest cleanly?

In the annual 'State of Energy' they take stock. And a tip of the veil: the movement towards less fossil energy and more clean energy has visibly started.

They also look ahead with Kate Raworth (of the Donut Economy) to 2025 and beyond, what are they going to do? How are they going to make this network even stronger? How are they doing that in other regions of the world?

New: the Orange Canary

On October 27, they will also celebrate the very first presentation of the 'Oranje Kanarie'. The first Oranje Kanarie will be awarded to Marly Zevenhek, for her undiminished efforts to get her rental home off gas. She succeeded.

The Orange Canary honors Amsterdam's frontrunners in the energy transition. In the past, canaries warned of danger in coal mines; today, this brave bird symbolizes the frontrunners who show us the way to clean energy and a safe, sustainable world.
