Choice for Art

Healthcare organisation Cordaan develops new forms of care. Research shows that art and culture are good for your body and mind. That is why Cordaan is looking at how people with vulnerable health can also participate in art and culture in the city. But that is not always easy. There is less money and staff in healthcare, and more and more people need help. How do we make the city caring? And how can art and care work together better? You will discuss this during the Kennis-Fissa (Knowledge Meet-Up).

The program

The program consists of the exhibition Choice for Art and a series of activities. Think of lectures, creative sessions, performances, action moments and a party. The exhibition shows work by 12 duos: artists and clients who have created something together. You will see drawings, images and photos and get a glimpse into the production process. Some makers will be present and happy to talk to you about the future of art and care – in 20 years, but also in 750 years.

About the lectures

During the lectures, Framer Framed and Museum van de Geest will tell us what their collaboration with Cordaan has yielded. Together with participants, artists and healthcare workers, we look ahead: how can we expand this further?
