Moyca Gort's art is about collecting and reassembling. She uses details, shapes, materials, prints, and colors of objects she finds around her. She adapts and combines them in new ways, leading to surprising material choices with layering and details. She is fascinated by how the meaning and function of an existing object can be converted into a new image.

Plein Theater & Dining Room

The Plein Theater is the theatre of Amsterdam Oost. Its programming is versatile, interdisciplinary, and surprising. Here, you will discover small-scale, intimate performances with a strong focus on the visual, activist, and experimental. During 24 Hours Oost, the Fringe Festival also takes place in the theatre.

The Eetlokaal next to the theatre is a lively meeting place buzzing with creative energy and where you can also enjoy delicious food and drinks. A visit to the Plein Theater is always a special experience, partly because the walls of the Eetlokaal are decorated with visual work by artists from East Amsterdam.
