Safe Space in partnership with Dress & Dance
ITA wants everyone to feel safe. And especially during Pride. Not everyone feels safe to travel to Amsterdam in their ultimate Pride outfit. Dress & Dance is the organization that ensures that there is a safe space in the Reguliersdwarsstraat every Saturday evening. This will happen once during the Canal Parade in the International Theater Amsterdam, on Leidseplein. Drag queen Bok Choi is present for make-up and styling advice, and hosts and security guards are present to provide a safe environment.

A safe place to change
It shouldn't be, but unfortunately, it has to be. And especially during Pride. Not everyone feels safe to travel to Amsterdam in their ultimate Pride outfit. Less than half of Amsterdam's young people say they accept homosexuality. This is evident from the latest Youth Health Monitor from the GGD. But unfortunately, in reality, it is a different story.
That is why ITA is opening its doors on Saturday, August 3, in collaboration with Dress & Dance, so visitors to the Canal Parade have a safe place to change. Would you also like to use ITA's Safe Space? It is open from 10:00 - 15:00.
