Floating tulips

Tulp Festival Amsterdam celebrates the anniversary with floating tulips in the pond in the Vondelpark and a mini-expo in the Amsterdam Museum. During the month of April, the well-known bowls and tubs full of colorful tulips will be on display at dozens of locations spread across all city districts.

Tulip routes

The Tulp Festival adds lustre to the celebration of Amsterdam 750 with many new locations. From Amsterdam Centrum, the Tulp Festival will fan out in all directions in April 2025.

The colourful tulip carpet runs from the Damrak into the city, both Centrum Oost - with a special role for NEMO Science Museum - and Centrum West, and from the Dam both towards West via the Raadhuisstraat, and towards South.

In the South, tulips in the Rijnstraat welcome residents and visitors between the Utrechtsebrug and the Van Woustraat. The Gelderlandplein and the shopping and catering area around the Olympic Stadium and Stadionplein also pay tribute to Amsterdam 750.

In the Amsterdamse Bos tulips mark the entrance to the Bosbaan. In the Vondelpark tulips float in the pond and on the Museumplein they are along 'Het Oor'. A tulip route in West takes you from one square to the next. In Nieuw-West the tulips in tubs brighten up various shopping centres.

Zuidoost is bursting with tulips and brings the beautiful, red, Bijlmer tulip to life. Across the IJ, colourful tulips welcome you in Noord and can be admired in the oldest and newest neighbourhoods of this part of the city.

Tulips in the open ground

Exuberant tulip displays can also be admired in the gardens of the Rijksmuseum, in the historic garden of Huis Willet-Holthuysen and in the gardens of the Hilton Hotel on Apollolaan, and the Waldorf Astoria on Herengracht.
