Electric Museum Tram Line Amsterdam

The Electric Museum Tram Line revives the past with a unique collection of historic trams. The trams have been restored, and you can actually ride them both in the centre of Amsterdam and on the landmark Haarlemmermeer railway line.

Route

The Electric Museum Tram Line runs 100% on enthusiastic volunteers and is a fantastic place to view historic trams that have been restored to all their glory. In the spring and summer, the old trams run from the Haarlemmermeer station to Amstelveen and back. There are several stops along the 7-kilometer route where you can get off.

In the summer you can also find the trams on Dam Square in Amsterdam, where they offer a beautiful tour past most of the sights. These rides are often driven on Saturdays and/or Sundays during summer. Check the website for dates, times and routes.

The tram season starts every year around Easter weekend. The trams then run every Sunday between 11:00 and 17:00 until the last Sunday of October.

For rent

The historic trams can also be rented for events such as weddings, company drinks and family parties. The trams are also official wedding locations in both Amsterdam and Amstelveen. For more information and options, visit the website.
