Intercept is a music collective and record label that likes to blur boundaries in electronic music. Outside of their uptempo releases, there will be room for quiet listening. For this purpose, a special 'in the round' setup will be created in the Koorzaal in the basement of Het Concertgebouw with performances by Ramses3000 (live), Jeena (hybrid dj) and Loradeniz (dj).

Ramses3000 (live)

Producer Ramses3000 (Yannick Verhoeven) put dance music aside for his new album Thalamus to help people relax. He delved into the effect of music on the human brain and moved his studio to a historic monastery and nursing home for the elderly in nature for three months. Like many other creative people, he struggles with ADHD and relaxing music helps him calm down and get his head in order every day. He combined classical music styles and musical instruments such as cello, guitar and saxophone with sounds from his own musical world: synthesizers, vintage keyboards and analogue effects. He performs live with guitarist Bart van de Sande and cellist Jostijn Ligtvoet. Artist Brian Omen developed a matching scent especially for the performance and there are audiogenerative visuals. In this item on NPO Radio 1, Ramses3000 receives words of praise from neurologist Erik Scherder.

Jeena (hybrid dj)

This is the Dutch debut show of this multidisciplinary Palestinian artist, originally from Montreal and based in Copenhagen. She previously performed at Roskilde and Distortion Festival, among others. In her music she combines her background as a composer, sound therapist, instrumentalist, singer and visual artist. Her sound is inspired by avant-garde and grunge music, while also exploring the boundaries of contemporary ambient, techno and trance.

Loradeniz (dj)

Deniz Omeroglu, originally from Istanbul and living in Amsterdam since 2017, creates her multidisciplinary music and art under the name Loradeniz. She combines her interest, creativity and craftsmanship in classical piano with minimal, contemporary and electronic music resulting in tracks and dj sets with layered melodies and compelling percussion. She studied classical piano, music production and composition and did a master's degree in sound design. Her last release was on Nous'Klaer Audio and she previously worked with Interstellar Funk. As a DJ she performed at Dekmantel Festival, Fiber Festival, in De School and at Garage Noord amongst others.

Intercept

Intercept is a music collective and record label founded in 2019 by producer and artist Coloray. Sonically, Intercept transcends boundaries and embraces a non-conventional approach. Within the Intercept framework, artists continually explore new musical worlds, whether or not inspired by other arts. The approach of this ADE evening is the 'counter' sound that the dance floor does not have to be leading.
