Amandante Nova Opera
Amandante is the first opera by the Dutch-Ukrainian composer Maxim Shalygin. Shalygin's music is adventurously omnivorous yet rooted in tradition. His work often has the spiritual undertone that can be heard in more music from Eastern Europe. Amandante is a chamber opera inspired by Symposion, Plato's age-old dialogue about lust, love and desire. Please note: the end time mentioned is an indication.
