I'll meet you there

In this theatrical ritual, the survivor is confronted with the incomprehensibility and connection in a dying process. It is an exercise in saying goodbye, precisely to make the connection with life and the other tangible.

This project is part of a broader research, in which Bart van de Woestijne immerses himself in the practice of the funeral world. Together with funeral director Florine Schaap and dramaturge Maarten Bos, he develops various theatrical rituals that place death in life. I'll meet you there is a collaboration with theatre maker Eva Knibbe, resulting from their previous project Rechtszaak tegen de dood.
