On human rights in an increasingly digital society
On December 10, the world will reflect on the importance of our human rights, as laid down in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In an increasingly digital society, it is often questionable whether technology works for us and not against us. Developments are moving fast and the impact is great. How do we safeguard our human rights such as freedom, equality and dignity in this digital world? But also, what about your right to participate and are citizens actually listened to when it comes to all the changes that digitalization brings with it?
During Digital Rights Day LIVE, this is the topic of conversation. Inspiration is shared about what is being worked on in Amsterdam and beyond, and we look ahead to 2025. During this evening, there will be extra attention for the themes 'Poverty and digitalization', 'Equality' and 'The importance of listening to citizens'.
