Together with Africadelic and Caribbean Creativity, we present the Dutch premiere of 'Kanaval: A People's History of Haiti in Six Chapters'. This documentary presents Haitian history in an explosion of colour, dance and music as the country prepares for its legendary carnival. The screening is organised to celebrate and commemorate the 220th anniversary of Haitian independence.Kanaval is a visually arresting award-winning documentary that is set in the present but tells the rich story of Haiti’s past, as we follow a number of carnival performers in the lead up to and during the annual Jacmel
