The Cage aux Folles

Winner of six Tonys in its inaugural edition and two-time winner of Best Revival, it is also the hit series that spawned the much-recorded anthem I Am What I Am and the Hollywood film The Birdcage. Jean-Michel is the son of Georges and his notorious transvestite husband, Zaza. Pandemonium and farce ensue when the son invites a right-wing, anti-gay politician (his future father-in-law, played by TV Star, Barrie Stevens) to Saint Tropez to meet them.
