Misa Criolla Música Temprana
'This is how it should sound', wrote Luister about the recording of the Misa Criolla by Música Temprana. The ensemble, which has existed for twenty-five years, hit the nail on the head and so this Latin American mass by Ariel Ramírez has become synonymous with Christmas. The other songs on the programme also bring a passionate, warm-blooded and folk-musical atmosphere around the Christmas tree. Please note: there is a waiting list for this event.
Misa Criolla Música Temprana
A passionate Latin American Christmas
The Misa Criolla is a masterstroke by composer Ariel Ramírez. He wrote the work in 1964 for two German nuns who once gave him shelter. The Vatican's permission to also write masses in the national language led him to this swinging work in which the Spanish language and Latin American folk music play the leading role. The mass grew into a celebration of life that is also on the programme all over the world during the Christmas season.
