'WeepingTower'is a unique musical performance inspired by Amsterdam's Schreierstoren, where sailors' wives wept as their men set sail. Blending uncensored sailor tunes sung by Conservatory van Amsterdam students with classical chamber music and electronic compositions, it balances dreams and reality, evoking emotions of loss, uncertainty, and hope amidst life's turbulent seas. Live in Amsterdam on July 1st.

Weeping Tower

'WeepingTower' is the place where the wives of sailors would gather and weep as their men set sail and left Amsterdam's harbour.

The main excitement of this project is combination of uncensored sailor’ tunes, sang by lyrical singers, current student of Conservatory van Amsterdam, with instrumental accompaniment in original classical chamber music’ arrangements and electronic music specially composed for it.

It’s a balancing between two worlds: dreams, hallucination, memories of a drowning sailor and the reality of those who stayed on the shore, continuing to fight against the wind.

The story touches everyone who has experienced moments of life's uncertainty, losses, and lost hopes, feeling alone in the middle of the sea.
