About SNDO

The SNDO, School for New Dance Development, offers a full-time four-year vocational training course leading to the Bachelor of Arts: Choreography degree. The school was founded in 1975 as an attempt to find new directions for dance beyond the existing forms and styles that dominated the dance field. After 40 years, the SNDO remains curious, open-minded and at the forefront of progressive developments in the field of dance and performance. In the curriculum, the school determines the conditions under which the student's creativity can arise. The specific qualities of dance and performance as an art form are considered, prioritizing awareness of the body and the artistic, social and political implications of working with it.
