About the play
Mina Mazailo is a story about a Kharkiv official who feels inferior and believes that all his failures in life are due to his surname. He dreams of changing it to a "more prestigious" one and calls a family council for this purpose. This play, almost 100 years old and written by the famous Ukrainian playwright Mykola Kulish, is still relevant. The issues and questions it raises continue to resonate in our time.
