Safari to the fringes of Zeeburgereiland
Place of special stories
Zeeburgereiland was always a place of space and frayed edges. Now, new neighbourhoods are being built everywhere. With this development, not only will the existing communities and the art and culture you can now find there disappear, but also the stories about freedom, creativity and alternative ways of living together that now have a place there.
The collective Our Island Life wants to share the stories of artists, students, makers and families who have shaped this piece of land in recent decades.
Our Island Life takes you on a journey for 24 Hours Oost to explore the last wild, hidden parts of Zeeburger Island. To hear what this island has meant to residents and what they hope it will become in the future. So that you, too, can experience the beauty and importance of such places and become inspired by what living together with each other and nature can look like.
