American Roots - Nederlands Blazers Ensemble
The Netherlands Wind Ensemble (NBE) delves deep into the heart of American music. Together with Native American singer Charly Lowry, musical phenomenon and descendant of the Tuscarora Indian Nation, the NBE searches for the beauty of Native American culture. 'We are the land' is the fundamental premise of that culture, in which people feel at one with nature.

Koyaanisqatsi
The common thread throughout the program is the iconic film music Koyaanisqatsi by Philip Glass, adapted for the NBE. He also searches for our roots, and the film highlights the complex relationship between man, nature, and technology. Like a meandering river, the two musical landscapes flow together, with live projections by the young visual artist Vincent Rang.
