Hyperfolk
With an affinity for combining digital and analogue elements, @ describes their debut album 'Mind Palace Music' as hyperfolk . The record is somewhere in the middle between pleasantly familiar and refreshingly innovative.
Filipczak and Rose work on their music together from Baltimore or Philadelphia. The band currently performs as a four-piece, adapting their recordings for an instrumentally diverse live set, including flute, PVC flute and microKORG. Additional band members include Nino Soberon on cello, bass and melodica, and Nina Ryser on drums and melodica.
