On Christmas Day (25 December) and New Year's Day (1 January), De Nieuwe Kerk will once again host its traditional candlelit concert. The world-famous organs, which were "packed away" during the restoration of the columns, can now be played and enjoyed once more. Be enchanted by the beautiful sounds of our organs, enjoy the warm glow of candlelight in the chandeliers, and celebrate Christmas at this extraordinary location in the heart of Amsterdam.

Come and listen to the organ on Christmas or New Year's Day

The programme includes festive music for the Christmas season by Hassler, Sweelinck, Buxtehude, Franck, Winsemius and Bach, among others.

On New Year's Day (1 January), Henk Verhoef, resident organist, will play a festive programme with trumpeters Nicolas Isabelle and Amir Rabinovitz, featuring Christmas music by Vivaldi, Torelli, Handel, Monnikendam and Bach, among others. Check the link for tickets.
