Black Rainbows

The inspiration for the album comes from the objects in the Stony Island Arts Bank museum in Chicago. Using curated collections of black archives from America's past, the two-time Grammy winner explores themes of black femininity, incantation, the collapse of time, ancestors, and music as a tool for transcendence.
