An important career boost

An expert jury, consisting of Frederike Berntsen (music journalist), Jeroen Smits (programmer Muziekgebouw Eindhoven), and Judith van Wanroij (soprano and former winner of the Grachtenfestival Prize), nominates young musicians who excel in their field. The nomination is an important career booster and a prize in itself. The jury follows the nominees for a season and awards the prize to the most remarkable candidate.

The winner will be given carte blanche to compose a versatile program as Artist in Residence during the next Grachtenfestival. All nominees will introduce themselves again this evening; the host is NPO Klassiek presenter Ab Nieuwdorp.
