Carter Muller
On 31 August, the Dutch-American pianist Carter Muller will be in the spotlight with his latest program, 'Wanderlust.' Muller takes the audience on a musical and philosophical journey inspired by Rebecca Solnit's book of the same name. The program includes works by composers such as Liszt, Debussy, Janácek, Messiaen, and Bartók, reflecting the themes of adventure, discovery, and desire.

Muller's passionate love for contemporary music has led to collaborations with renowned composers such as John Adams and Toshio Hosokawa and ensembles such as Klagforum Wien. His extensive musical training includes studies at Amsterdam, Seattle, Imola, Zurich and Stuttgart conservatories. He has won prizes at prestigious competitions such as the Bach Festival, the Russian Composer Festival, the Young Musician of the Year Competition of the Royal Concertgebouw, the YPF Piano Competition, the Landolt Wettbewerb and the Princess Christina Competition.
