Dichtbij in het park - Rinus Groeneveld trio

Dichtbij Concerten will be organizing monthly concerts on location for the 9th year in 2024. The foundation wants to bring atmosphere to the neighborhood and culture in places where you would not expect it. In the summer there are concerts every 1st Sunday of the month in the Stadshout Pavilion in the Amstelpark. On Sunday, August 4, the Rinus Groeneveld Trio will turn the park upside down with super groovy saxophone funk. Entrance is free.

Musical secrets of Buitenveldert

Dichtbij in het Park is organized by residents who want to contribute to the quality of life in the neighborhood. The concerts feature professional musicians and enthusiasts who live or work in the surrounding neighborhoods. This results in a very diverse and always surprising programme.

Previously you could enjoy Arabic jazz and Nepalese choral music. There were Persian improvisations and Sephardic, Yiddish and Latino songs. Top-level musicians played from Bach and Beethoven to Poulenc and Kodaly.

In the summer there are concerts in the Amstelpark, in the winter the concert series moves to the Huis van de Wijk Buitenveldert.

Rinus Groeneveld Trio

Rinus Groeneveld on tenor saxophone, Sven Shuster on (double) bass and Victor de Boo on drums - then you know it will be fine. These 3 seasoned musicians all have a warm, beating heart for groove and fun. Rinus doesn't rest until he sees feet on the floor, so what's to stop you from exploring the Amstelpark on Sunday and also dancing a bit. Or just enjoy yourself, that is of course also possible.
