Rhythms and melodies from the jungle, highlands and coastal areas
As a symbol of the uniqueness and cultural wealth of Guinea, after independence, national ensembles created repertoire based on the music of the various tribes. It has become a collective asset that, like jazz standards, is used for free music.
On Guinean bass guitar Bolon and the giant thumb piano Gongoma, by Momo Touré, the wooden piano: Balafoon by Bouba Keita, djembe by Oumar Dioubaté and Momo Touré. The bass section, Dundun by Bintou Kouyaté, the first female West African drummer to perform internationally plays on stages.
After the concert there will be dancing to African grooves until 11 p.m.
