Late Beethoven: Beethoven Re-imagined Calder Quartet, Antoine Hunter + Zahna Simon (Urban Jazz Dance Company)
Feeling the music through vibrations – it is said that this is how Beethoven was able to continue composing when he became deaf. Dancers Antoine Hunter and Zahna Simon prove to the extreme how possible that is. Although they are deaf, they have learned to interpret the vibrations of the music and express themselves through dance in a mix of jazz ballet and urban dance. Together with the Calder Quartet, Hunter and Simon create a choreography to Beethoven's String Quartet. 130 and the Grosse Fuge.
