Aleppo by Cappella Amsterdam
Musical ode to the glorious metropolis of yesteryear
Until 2011, Aleppo was a bustling metropolis where all kinds of cultures and traditions lived side by side and influenced each other. Byzantine palaces, mosques, churches and synagogues made for a multicoloured streetscape with their rich and diverse architecture. The centuries-long interplay of Armenian, Sephardic, Arab and Byzantine cultures also created a rich choral tradition.
Please note: This concert was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday 10 April 2024. Ticket holders have been notified of the rescheduling to Friday 12 April 2024.
