Musical talent
Maryn Charlie is a singer-songwriter from Amsterdam who didn't get her musical talent from a stranger. She grew up with a father who played music and owned his own studio in their house. After exploring her sound for a while, Maryn Charlie has blossomed into an authentic DIY artist with her own style and band!
She started her career posting covers of her favorite songs online, but eventually expanded her horizons and began writing her own songs. The singer is inspired by artists such as Billie Eilish, Lizzy McAlpine and Holly Humberstone, notably in her real and honest lyrics. She is not afraid to sing about sensitive topics, in fact, she finds it freeing to share her thoughts with the world.
Last summer she was part of the Popronde program, and in May she won the Trending Talent award at 3fm radio station with her new single "Self Sabotage". You will hear this track and many more during this intimate concert in the Upstairs!
