Tribute to the magic of Tango

The Groot Tango Orchestra convincingly performs a range of pieces, ranging from melancholic to swinging tangos, milongas and waltzes.

In addition to the overwhelming orchestral repertoire, there are also intimate moments, with the duo consisting of bandoneon and guitar, a bandoneon duo, performed by Kay Sleking (guitar/bandoneon) and Florita Cesnik (bandoneon) and a quartet with Radboud Post (violin), Florita Cesnik (bandoneon), Robin El Hage (piano) and Kay Sleking (double bass). This presents a rich palette of sounds, taking you from the early days of tango to its heyday.

The stories about the music that are told between the pieces form a common thread through the program and add an extra dimension.
