For more than twenty years, Niki Jacobs has been singing in Yiddish, with worldwide renown as one of the best interpreters of European Yiddish song. In this heartwarming theatre concert, the famed Mauthausen ballads from composer Mikis Theodorakis are centre stage. Note: the end time is an indication.

Beautifully sung Yiddish art with talented musicians

Inspired by her own Jewish roots, Niki Jacobs hopes that the Yiddish which used to be heard in our streets could sound again in Dutch theaters, and of course far beyond. Together with her brilliant ensemble, Niki Jacobs bridges the gap between the Europe of the past and the music of today.

This performance is Language No Problem (LNP). These performances feature minimal to no spoken words, or are conducted in English.
