Smoky sound
Kody Chambers was born and raised in Toronto but now lives in Amsterdam. The singer, composer and trumpetist draws inspiration from soul singers Marvin Gaye and D'Angelo, among others, and combines his smoky sound with progressive sonic sounds. He recently released his debut EP, 'Water Songs', a mix of funk, soul and jazz that Kody produced himself!
Impressive voice
From Toronto to Ethiopia! Neema was born in Addis Ababa but grew up in Zeeland. This fusion of 2 completely different worlds leads to a powerful sound. Her first single, 'Feel Me', was released in July 2020, and her debut EP 'Lost' followed shortly afterwards. With smooth neo-soul and R&B sounds and an impressive voice, Neema is the artist to keep an eye on!
Reverie
And finally, British-born Robyn Florence. In 2023, after releasing several singles, she finally released her debut EP: 'Rêverie'. Her sources of inspiration, soul legends Nina Simone, Sade and Lianne La Havas, can clearly be heard in her sound. Robyn's music has already reached the radio and TV in the Netherlands and England and now you can see her during this soulful edition of RADAR!
