Fusing futuristic Latin jazz, raw funk and Afrobeat, Venezuelan bassist Raúl Monsalve and his all-star ensemble of renowned Venezuelan artists, including 'the voice of Venezuela' Betsayda Machado, singer Luzmira Zerpa (Family Atlantica) and drummer Dave De Rose (Agile Experiments, Moloko, Mark Ronson) craft the music of Venezuelan bassist Raúl Monsalve and his all-star ensemble of renowned Venezuelan artists, including 'the voice of Venezuela' Betsayda Machado, singer Luzmira Zerpa (Family Atlantica) and drummer Dave De Rose (Agile Experiments, Moloko, Mark Ronson), with producer Malcolm Catto (Heliocentrics, Quantic, Yussef Kamaal) behind the controls during the recording of his most recent album 'Bichos' from 2020.

In March 2025, Raúl Monsalve and his band Los Forajidos will release the album SOL , an ode to light and a work full of power and transformative energy, inspired by personal challenges and changes. The album combines traditional Afro-Venezuelan rhythms with influences from funk, avant-garde jazz and electronic African music, and establishes a strong link with the cult of John the Baptist, a symbol of cultural resistance and freedom in Venezuela. With a renewed, urban interpretation of their roots, the band brings an intense musical and spiritual experience that connects communities and traditions.
