The debut EP solitaire (2023), released under I Love My Label/Excelsior, made an impression as a first introduction to his guitar-driven indie folk. After a period of many shows at home and abroad, Sam retreated to his bedroom, where his next album slowly blossomed. Although written in a period of disorientation and loneliness, the album was recorded with friends, in a small studio in Amsterdam. The whispering melancholy of his Elliott Smith-esque demos grew into a lively, compelling collection of songs. Sam will present his debut album Selfhelpingmehelpmyself in Paradiso .
