Ya Baba

After a tour through the Netherlands with the EP 'Ya Baba' and support for Tamikrest and Imarhan, they performed at the Taragalte festival in the Moroccan Sahara in 2019. Inspired by travels and encounters, they are releasing a new EP after recent experiences in Morocco, including a video with multi-instrumentalist Mourad Belouadi. The musical lines follow the Moroccan roots of lead singer Samira Dainan, taking listeners through the Moroccan Sahara to the Malian shore on the other side.

Fifty days of walking says the sign in M'Hamid el Ghizlane, the last village before the desert begins. The band covers the same distance in a few minutes: from subdued, dreamy pieces to outright desert guitar, with which they have already caused a stir in Niger - thanks to Facebook.
