What influence do socio-political changes have on rhythms, rituals, and dance gestures witnessed on dance floors?
How do our daily rhythms differ from our rhythms at night? And how do our realities change or deflect as we enter the night? Three different perspectives that were asked, researched, and visualized this past year in the small museum on the Paradiso facade by visual artists Bogomir Doringer, Gabey Tjon a Tham and Heleen Blanken.
On Tuesday July 16th the three artists - whom all have played a prominent role as visual artists in the Dutch nightclub scene - will discuss how their art gives new perspectives on night culture and what role art and the nightclub scene can play in today's and future's society . Throughout the evening their works, commissioned by Paradiso, will be on display.
The evening concludes with a special sound performance by Oceanic in which the sound artists and DJ will give his own interpretation of the Sounds of the Night.
