Stichting Ligamenten invites you to a unique and inspiring evening where the relationship between humans and nature is explored from different perspectives. The event will be in de Basiliek van de Heilige Nicolaas (Basilica of St. Nicholas) on Friday, 22 November 2024.

Music, visual art and spoken word

Contributions by spoken word artist Nikki Ong, planthunter Marian van Weert, and actor Remco Melles showcase their engagement with nature through different disciplines, offering a variety of perspectives on this theme.

Conducted by Wiebe Gotink, 20 singers and 12 musicians will perform Mass for the Endangered, a 2018 composition by Sarah Kirkland Snider. The texts, written by Daniel Bellows, combine original English lyrics with Latin mass texts. This requiem for endangered nature calls for compassion and protection of the natural world.
