Serie Couleur Vocale: Vocaal Ensemble TIEN -Saudade
In the spring of 2024, TIEN will bring 'Saudade' to the Waalse Kerk under the direction of Francisca Pizarro. A program with the unifying theme of the state of mind to which the concept refers: nostalgia, melancholy, homesickness, spleen, Sehnsucht. With works by Portuguese and Brazilian composers such as Fernando Lopes-Graça and Heitor Villa Lobos, as well as compositions from German Romanticism and other style periods in which the theme is expressed with great expressiveness.

About Ensemble TEN
Vocal Ensemble TIEN is an enthusiastic and ambitious acappella ensemble, consisting of an average of sixteen singers, that was founded in the mid-1990s. As trained amateurs, the singers of TIEN strive for a high artistic level and through long-term collaboration, they have a subtle timbre and balance. The ensemble works with a different conductor for each program, so different aspects of ensemble singing are discussed each time. TIEN is praised for its clear choral sound and surprising programming.
