The Conservatory of Amsterdam at the Posthoornkerk: Trombone Ensemble

Trombone class

The trombone class of the Conservatory of Amsterdam is an ensemble that rehearses weekly under the guidance of the main subject teachers, Pierre Volders, J��rgen van Rijen, Remko de Jager. The goal is to get the interaction between the students to a professional level so that the students can function in the professional orchestras. Furthermore, concerts are regularly given and cooperation is provided for special occasions such as openings and tributes. The ensemble consists of all trombone students of the CvA. The class is very international and the students come from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Taiwan and Friesland. Over the years, the trombone class has regularly won the prestigious Emory Remington Award, a prestigious prize for the best student trombone ensemble of the International Trombone Association. We were allowed to receive this prize again in 2023!

Musicians: Mathis Lenormand, Joan Juanico, Shao-Tong Huang, Jose Pinto, Leonard de la Serviere, Camille Bresson, Andreu Mecho, Bente van der Brug, Gabriel Messner, Lucas Johansen, Mathis Kaiser and Cyril Beijer.
