Robust sound
Glasgow currently serves as the home base for the four-piece Tide Lines, but the band originally comes from the Scottish Highlands. An environment known for its wide landscapes, dark skies and robust nature. It is no coincidence that the folk-rock group also produces a robust sound with Gaelic influences.
Far Side of the World
The band, which consists of Robert Robertson (vocals and guitar), Alasdair Turner (guitar), Ross Wilson (keyboards) and Fergus Monroe (drums), released its debut single, Far Side of the World, in 2016 and scored well in Scotland. This was followed by albums Dreams We Never Lost (2017), Eye of the Storm (2020), and the recently released An Ocean Full of Islands. On this album, we hear the Scottish folk influences that the band loves so much, combined with exciting rock parts and a hint of alt-pop here and there.
