Kimina is a multidisciplinary performance in which Tambú; the music, dance, storytelling and spirituality are central. It is the 3rd in the series of screenings of Chatlein's research & research platform: Voices From Letters, in which he translates traditional music into contemporary music.

The Tambú has its origins in the various African musical traditions of enslaved people on Cura��ao and traditionally tells about life on the plantations, with dance and song accompanied by the characteristic rhythms of the drums. However, in addition to preserving the cultural heritage, the culture surrounding the Tambú is still very much alive in the current Caribbean community.
