Musical experience

In addition, Planjer has made it a point to require improvisation from every musical guest, which was quite outside the comfort zone for many in the beginning. The result is a collection of eight very diverse pieces in which Planjer's broad palette of sources of inspiration is expressed in a very original way.

Throughout his career as a performing musician, Vinsent Planjer has focused on conveying a multitude of moods and emotions, just about everything that music can evoke in a listener: from meditative to exuberant, aggressive to sweet, humorous to deadly serious, where confusion, relief, supreme concentration, introspection, expression, and the occasional burst of laughter follow each other. The underlying idea is the belief that the (non-melodic) percussion can communicate the entire range of musical experiences.
