Manahahtanung or Nieuw Amsterdam?
400 years ago, the Dutch arrived in America to establish a colony in the area that is now New York on behalf of the West India Company. The Amsterdam Museum, together with the representatives of Lenape – original inhabitants of this area in the United States – created this exhibition about the consequences for the Indigenous residents and their struggle.
