Women of Amsterdam - an Ode
The Amsterdam Museum enriches history by collecting odes to women who made the city what it is today. These odes are the basis of this exhibition, which is moving, thought-provoking and calls for the writing of even more odes.

Women in the center of attention
The exhibition puts more than 50 women who have been honoured by means of an object from the collection of the Amsterdam Museum or a personal object on loan in the spotlight. In addition, the museum has commissioned ten contemporary makers (duos) to reflect on the story of a woman with new work or to make an ode to a woman themselves. In total, visitors to the exhibition will meet more than a hundred (!) women.
